Pequot Library's Annual 4th of July Bike Parade & Lawn Games 2018

At the very moment the Bike Parade departs the Five Corners in Southport Village.

The echoes of the beat of the drum along Pequot Avenue and the sounds of wheels rolling were all that could be heard during the parade.
Hundreds of people turned out for the Annual Bike Parade, many of them on their bikes and scooters
 for the very first time.

Pequot Library's Annual 4th of July
Bike Parade & Lawn Games 2018

Hundreds of people of all ages gathered in Southport Village to participate in the popular
4th of July Bike Parade & Lawn Games on Wednesday morning.

The Bike Parade was led by legendary drummer, producer, writer, artist, radio show host, and Pequot Library supporter Chris Frantz,
founding member of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club.

Kids riding in or on anything with wheels streamed down Pequot Avenue with Chris beginning at the Five Corners while he played the drum his father gave to him when he was about twelve years of age.

Many thanks to Pequot Library and staff for hosting this wonderful
annual Fairfield tradition.
