Southport, CT – Scrabble Club with Cornelia Guest, at Pequot Library, Thursdays, July 11 – August 15, 2013, from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. For grades 4-8. Renowned coach, Cornelia Guest, has been teaching School Scrabble in the Fairfield area since 2004. A nationally ranked player herself, she has taken over 40 teams to the Nationals. Members of Pequot’s Scrabble Club competed in the 2013 National School Scrabble Championship, held in Chapel Hill, NC.
Says Guest, "While parents may appreciate that their children are learning vocabulary and practicing math, the kids are just having a great time getting together with friends and playing Scrabble." Learn winning plays and strategy, have fun, join the club. Fee: $40 for 6 consecutive sessions running through Aug. 15. Registration encouraged.
