Pequot Library's Annual Fourth of July Bike Parade

July 4 girl
Every Fourth of July, rain or shine—(almost always shine!), participants of all ages arrive at the Five Corners in Southport Village with their decorated bikes, scooters, and wagons to form a parade. Led by a Fairfield Police bicycle escort, the parade kicks off at 10am sharp, with Belle, our library bunny, out in front. Destination: the Great Lawn of Pequot Library, where fun awaits. Hot dogs and drinks are available—donations are appreciated. The activities include traditional sack races, a hula hoop contest, an American Revolution trivia contest (one quiz per family working together), and face painting for the little ones. All are welcome to start out this summer holiday with a morning celebrating our national heritage at the local level, in the spirit of community.
This event is free and no registration is needed. For more information, call (203) 259-0346 ext. 18 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
