Dazzling pianist to share

International pianist Alex Moutouzkine makes a return trip to Fairfield on Saturday, April 20, but not to perform for his adoring adult fans who are happy to shell out vast quantities of money for the pleasure of seeing him in person.
No, Moutouzkine ventures to Southport's Pequot Library to give a free afternoon recital and master class as part of the Young Person's Concert Series, sponsored by the nonprofit Music for Youth organization.
The event, which is the last of the 2012-13 season, is geared for ages 5 to 18. Families are invited to attend free of charge; individual adults are not barred from attending, but are encouraged to make a donation to the organization.
Moutouzkine, who was born in Russia and raised in Germany, is a teaching associate at the Manhattan School of Music, which gives vent to his passion for teaching, he said in a recent chat.
