Living On One Dollar

Pequot Library in Southport, CT is thrilled to announce a program by two young men, one who grew up in Fairfield, called Living On One Dollar. Chris Temple and Zach Ingrasci, while in college, lived in rural Guatemala on one dollar a day while they fought E.Coli and financial stress. Their Fairfield County upbringing didn’t prepare them for what they would go though living at a level the majority of inhabitants of the world experience. They found hope in the inspiring lives of their Guatemalan neighbors and friends. Recently interviewed by Charlie Rose on CBS, they embarked on a country-wide bus tour for “One chance to fight poverty in our generation.” Temple and Ingrasci will integrate footage from their documentary film into an inspiring talk. There will be a question and answer session following the program on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 7pm – 8:30pm, in the Auditorium of Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Avenue, Southport, CT.
