Southport, CT – Pequot Library and Paci Restaurant are mixing the best of ingredients for a February filled with great food and great philanthropy. You are invited to “dine out and give back.” Gather your friends and family at Paci throughout the month of February and support Pequot Library as you dine. When you dine at Paci in February 5% of your bill will be donated to Pequot Library in support of its mission. Drop by Pequot Library to pick up the flyer to present at Paci when you dine or visit Pequot’s website www.pequotlibrary.org to print out the flyer yourself.
When asked why Paci and Pequot? Jeff Hennig, Paci’s Manager said, “Besides being an excellent cause, both are local gems, historically and for enjoyment.” Elizabeth Patterson, Pequot Library’s Director of Development adds, “We have a lot in common: both situated in Southport Village, less than a mile apart, and both located in historic buildings. Paci brings people together around good food, and Pequot brings the community together around literature, music, art, science and the humanities. I also love that Paci uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients in their dishes – since this is all about supporting your local businesses and organizations, it is really perfect that Paci also supports our local farms. Paci has always supported Pequot Library, and we’re delighted to be working more closely with them.” Both Patterson and Hennig are excited about this partnership, especially because, as Patterson stated, “It gives our patrons a delicious meal for a good cause.”

Paci’s Chef and Owner, Robert Patchen prepares and serves contemporary foods in the style of classic Italian cuisine. Chef Patchen's zest in the kitchen is matched by his enthusiasm for great wines. Paci has accumulated an extraordinary collection from the finest vineyards in Italy and features a wine cellar that provides the opportunity to make selections from one of the best wines lists in Connecticut. Patchen's skills in preparing menu offerings with select wines, further enhances an appreciation of new ways to blend food and wine.

Patterson concludes, “With so many people eating out for Valentine’s Day anyway, why not make a reservation at Paci and make it a really special night?” Call Paci restaurant for reservations, (203) 259-9600.
