Free cane, walker assesments at senior center

Ever seen a senior citizen walking with a cane and bent over?
The person might be bent over because the cane is the wrong size or the wrong kind, the Fairfield Senior Center says, and it could cause a balance problem or even a fall.
Fairfield seniors can have their canes or walkers assessed for free by trained physical therapists during sessions at the senior center on Friday morning, Jan. 25, and Monday morning, Jan. 28.
Both sessions are from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will be conducted by doctoral candidates in physical therapy at Quinnipiac University, the senior center said.
Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling the center at 203-256-3166. Phones are staffed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. READ MORE: http://www.fairfieldcitizenonline.com/news/article/Free-cane-walker-assesments-at-senior-center-4214612.php
