Community Info/Needs Meeting 1pm First Congregational Church 148 Beach Road TODAY

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

The Fairfield Emergency Operation Center will be having both a Press conference and a Community information /needs meeting at 1:00pm at the First Congregation Church located at 148 Beach Rd, across from Town Hall.
The First Selectman , Police and Fire Chiefs, National Guard as well as other town officials will be on hand to answer beach residents questions. There will be information regarding the latest updates with regards to damage and accessibility to the beach area. They will also talk about other area in town that still remain without power. They will also address security concerns.
Currently 672 structures have been examined around the beach area with 500 sustaining minimum damage.
87 sustaining moderate damage. 64 sustaining severe damage. 26 condemned ( that # will rise)
43% of homes remain without power..
No private contractors are allowed in the beach area at this time. This list and more information will be available at the 1pm meeting at 148 Beach Road, Fairfield CT
