Foundation donates to school for kids with autism

Giant Steps CT, a private school in Fairfield's Southport section for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, recently received a donation of $80,000 from The Norma F. Pfriem Foundation of Fairfield for various improvements to the school.  "The amazing generosity of Norma Pfriem during her life and the continued support of the Norma F. Pfriem Foundation have directly impacted the lives of our students and families in so many ways," Kathy Roberts, the school's executive director and founder, said in a statement.
"We are forever grateful to her and the Board of Directors for their continued support."
The donation will got toward installing a new boiler and an upgrade of the IT and teleconferencing systems and website enhancements, according to a new release from the school.
