Kids hop to it at Easter egg roll

Things were really hopping in Southport Saturday morning as bunnies and familys got together for the Pequot Library's Seventh Annual Easter Egg Roll. To the accompaniment of the song "Here Comes Peter Cottontail," more than 100 children and adults streamed into the library's auditorium to partake in a range of craft activities from egg dying and decorating to coloring Easter scenes and creating sticker collages. At the center of the room, Belle -- the resident bunny -- was on hand for petting while her far larger furry white cousin circulated on two legs and posed for photos. When the "Bunny Hop" was played, kids lined up and, led by the library's Secret Agent helpers, hopped out the door to the library's Great Lawn.
