Thursday, March 01, 2012, 07:30pm - 08:30pm
At Pequot Library
By Daniel Snydacker, Ph.D.
Executive Director of Pequot Library
Throughout America, after the Civil War, engineering lessons learned in that terrible event in our history were put into our technologies. The new materials and construction technologies continued to evolve and grow at a breakneck pace, from canals to railroads to buildings, and in every form of transportation. The Titanic and her sister ships were a direct outcome of those developments. This lecture will explore these themes.
Registration is FREE, and recommended.
Location : Pequot Library Auditorium
