More Southport thefts

An employee at Jelliff Corp. on Pequot Avenue reported to police on Friday that sometime the night before, the rear door of the company’s building was pried open and someone entered, police said.

Surveillance tapes revealed a black male, wearing a hoodie and gloves, stole $200 worth of nickel and chrome alloy and wire, Lussier said.
This is under investigation.

A Flintlock Road resident reported on Saturday that a package was taken from the front porch sometime on Thursday, Dec. 15, police said.
The resident’s daughter told her she noticed a red or maroon-colored SUV parked in front of the house -- a vehicle matching that description has been reported before in connection to missing packages in that neighborhood, Lussier said.
