Bathing Beauties on Sea Lodge steps
Southport, Connecticut
Description: The Sea Lodge on Pequot Avenue at Southport Beach was built by the Sasquanaug Assn in 1901. The bathing costumes suggest the photo was taken not too long after that. Note the board & batten siding of this original Sea Lodge building. Photos #645-648 were found in the Connecticut Room of Pequot Library and it has not yet been possible to identify the people shown in them. See also #140, 176, 179, 437, 622-23, 646-648.
