McKenzie's Point 1930's Waterfront Estate

Nearly a 50% price reduction from an original list price of $250,000-here offered at $130,000. Very rare "Sasco Point" waterfront real estate advertisement from circa 1936. This property was once owned by former advertising agency executive, publisher of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Assistant Secretary of State and US Senator William Benton, and was known for a period as the Benton Estate. A newer estate is on the property near the very end of Sasco Hill Road. On the far right hand side of the property, you can see what appears to be a small building, which, remnants of its cement and brick foundation can be seen in the sand below the cliff, on McKenzie's Point at the rock wall. The property sold for $13,500,000 in 2001.

Here is a photo of the front of the estate facing Long Island Sound circa 1997 before it was replaced with a much larger, and modern estate.
