View taken from Chester Place showing intersection of Church and Main Street. On Main Street at left of Church Street is 95 Main, the Old Academy. To right of Church Street is 115 Main, homestead of J. Fred Jennings. Up on Church Street on left is 86 Rose Hill Road, the Methodist parsonage; on the right is the Methodist Church. The picture was taken after the parsonage was built in 1888 but before the church was taken down in 1900.
