Ned & David Russell
Southport, Connecticut
Family snapshot. The sons of David W. Russell (1901-1985), Ned on the left and Dave on the right, playing with their spaniel "Buffy" near an old mushroom anchor on the present location of the Horse Shoe Tavern. At the extreme left may be seen the druggist Luin Switzer's house which faced Pequot Avenue; in the late 20th century it housed the Pequot Travel Agency. Across Pequot Avenue in the background is seen the Jelliff building. Dave became Chief of the Fairfield Fire Dept.
